
Kerry has been teaching tennis professionally for 31 years, coaching players of all levels including touring professionals. He is certified professional both in the U.S. (Pro 2) and in Canada (Coach 2).
Over the last 3 seasons Kerry has been the assistant teaching professional and this season moves into his new role as Head Tennis Professional of Adult programming. He is a contributing writer of instructional articles to the tennis web magazine, Tennisplayer.net.
His career as a competitor started 35 years ago. Coming late to the game (14 yrs old), Kerry stills enjoys competitive playing at many levels (A’s, opens and seniors). He played 2 seasons of junior college tennis and a season of Division 1 college tennis at San Jose State University in San Jose, California.
Over the years he has been ranked at various levels from the B’s to the Open level. As a senior player he has been nationally ranked in the U.S. and Canada. The last two years he was ranked #1 in singles nationally in Canada (45’s age division). He is the current holder of back to back Canadian Senior National Outdoor singles titles (45’s). In 2009 he added the National Doubles title to the list of his playing accomplishments.
